Welcome to Tom’s Tablooley, home of the moderately- famous products that you’ve
undoubtedly enjoyed for years, reared your children on, and shared with your friends at
the very most special times in life ( and the ones that are plain and regular.)
Our story began in 1977 when the original owner and namesake bought a
food cart with his last $10. He filled the wheeled cart with pita, tabooley, backlava,
and hummus and pushed it up and down the drag. In 1997, Tom’s moved into our current
location at 2928 Guadalupe between Antone’s Records and Centenial liquors. Our
Guadalupe location is part grab and go deli, part dine in restaurant, part live music
venue, with an eclectic vintage vibe. Our menu is 100% vegetarian with options
like falafel, dolmas, baba ganoush, tabooley, several varieties of hummus, and delicious desserts.
In October of 2013, Tom finally parked his food cart and handed over the keys to JD Torian,
owner of the Austin’s Pizza. We’ve grown a bit over the last 40 years, but the
commitment to quality, wholesome, Mediterranean food has remained the same.
